Lucy laughed and nodded. “Of course! We can g-go whenever you want!” she told him, smiling brightly. When he told her that her stutter was one of the things that made her beautiful, she felt her cheeks grow warm with a rosy blush. “R-Really?” she asked softly. Tucking a strand on loose red hair behind her ear, she leaned in and rested her forehead against his, admiring his beautiful eyes. She smiled softly, the butterflies in her stomach fluttering away. “I roam the castle at night sometimes too. When I c-cant sleep. I havent been c-caught by the caretaker yet… i d-dont plan too either…” she said softly, still looking into his eyes.Eric solemnly nodded when she asked “Really?”, wrapping her more in his arms as she inched closer and rested her forehead against his.
He gave a chuckle. “No, I don’t think anyone wants to be caught by the caretaker… I don’t think anyone wants to be around him.”
Eric reached for Lucy’s hand and held it in his. “Yeah, the exciting stuff can wait,” he muttered softly as he looked at her. “Being with you is enough.”
“He’s so c-creepy. That’s why,” Lucy said, laughing a little at his comment about the caretaker. She hid whenever she saw him coming.
Lucy kept her forehead resting against his. She bit her lip and smiled shyly at him. The butterflies in her stomach still wouldn’t go away. She didn’t mind though. “I agree,” she said softly, gathering up her courage. She leaned into him and kissed him softly, and pulled away quickly to hide her blush.
